GPC Finance is currently collaborating with one of Ireland’s prominent advisors to entrepreneurial and growing owner-managed businesses. They are seeking an ambitious and high-achieving Assistant Audit Manager to join their progressive and forward-thinking Audit Department. Responsibilities:
- The Assistant Audit Manager will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries.
- They will proactively manage client expectations and serve as the primary point of contact.
- The individual will be in charge of coordinating and project managing staff resource allocation.
- Leading teams in planning, executing, and completing audits will be a key responsibility.
- They will provide technical auditing and accounting assistance to both team members and clients.
- The Assistant Audit Manager will report directly to the partner/director on engagements.
- Additionally, they will assist in managing the team’s financial performance.
- Participating in coaching, mentoring, and appraising staff will be part of their duties.
- Managing and coordinating proposals for new work will also be part of the role.
- The individual will be expected to develop strong working relationships with team members and other departments.
- Sharing knowledge and providing on-the-job training to junior team members is an essential aspect of the role.
- Moreover, they will assist in preparing client presentations, including board reports and tender/proposal documents.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate should possess an ACA or ACCA qualification with a minimum of 3 years PQE.
- Strong technical auditing and accounting skills are necessary, including knowledge of ISAs, FRS100 to FRS102, and IFRS.
- The Assistant Audit Manager should demonstrate excellent management skills and behaviours.
- Market/commercial awareness is a key requirement.
- Understanding operational aspects in managing an audit team and being accountable for results is crucial.
- The individual should have strong communication skills and a client service ethos.
- Adaptability to change is important in this role.
