Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Tax Technician to join the busy Tax Department in a supporting role to the Tax Manager. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys structured work, has experience in personal tax, and is looking for a stable role within a friendly and professional environment. You’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the department, supporting with compliance tasks and client queries.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, and partnerships
  • Input financial data into tax systems and maintain organised client files
  • Support the Tax Manager with compliance tasks and Revenue correspondence
  • Help gather supporting documentation and respond to client queries (under supervision)
  • Carry out basic research using Revenue guidance and online resources
  • Handle administrative duties such as file management and scheduling
  • Ensure internal procedures are followed, especially around confidentiality and data protection
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current Irish tax legislation through training and practical experience

Requirements:

  • Experience preparing or assisting with income tax returns in a professional setting
  • A relevant qualification or studying towards a tax/accountancy qualification is desirable
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • A team player who enjoys supporting others and working in a structured environment
  • Must be eligible to work in Ireland

Desirable:
Familiarity with TaxPro, DRIVE, Virtual Cabinet, and intermediate Excel would be an advantage, though full training will be provided.

Salary / Benefits:
