Our client, a leading and well-established professional services firm, is seeking an experienced Tax Manager (Compliance) to join their expanding tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to progress their career within a dynamic and collaborative environment while working with a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax compliance services, managing client relationships, supporting junior team development, and contributing to ongoing process improvement initiatives. This position can be based from a number of office locations nationwide and offers excellent flexibility, career progression, and professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied portfolio of clients with a primary focus on corporate tax compliance, while also supporting personal income tax and VAT compliance matters where required.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation, review, and submission of tax returns and compliance obligations.
  • Review compliance work prepared by junior team members, providing guidance and ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, responding to tax compliance queries, Revenue correspondence, and providing updates on relevant legislative changes.
  • Conduct technical tax research and assist with advisory projects where required, ensuring clients receive accurate and practical tax guidance.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across the wider business to deliver seamless and effective client service.
  • Mentor, coach, and support the development of junior team members, contributing to training initiatives and performance development.
  • Support the continuous improvement of compliance processes, including the implementation of tax technology and efficiency-focused initiatives.
  • Assist with the management of work in progress, billing, and collections to ensure departmental targets are achieved.

Requirements

  • CTA qualified; an accounting qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Minimum of 2 + post-qualification experience in a tax compliance role, ideally gained within a professional services environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Irish corporate tax and personal tax compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver a high standard of client service.
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • An interest in tax technology, process improvement, and innovation would be beneficial.
