Our client, an established medium sized accountancy practice are looking for a Tax Advisor to join the Tax Department and take a lead role in managing income tax compliance and client advisory work. The firm supports a wide range of clients, including SMEs, sole traders, and larger organisations across multiple sectors. Hybrid working model and flexible start and finish times are available.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the income tax function, ensuring accurate and timely filing and payment of all returns.
- Guide clients on tax obligations, identify issues, and recommend compliant solutions.
- Analyse records and previous filings to develop effective tax strategies and verify documentation accuracy.
- Act as the direct point of contact for a book of SME clients and liaise with Revenue on their behalf.
- Supervise trainees, review their work, and share relevant legislative updates.
- Contribute to wider Tax Department needs and maintain strong client relationships.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Irish tax advisory and compliance role.
- Experience in Sage Taxpro, ROS, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience supervising or mentoring trainees, demonstrating initiative and sound judgement.
Salary / Benefits
- Annual Salary of €40,000–€45,000 DOE
