My client is seeking an ambitious Senior Manager for their Audit and Accounts Department. Reporting to the director and partners, this role offers growth opportunities, challenging projects, and a collaborative environment. Strong organisation, time-management, and communication skills required.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage client expectations and be point-of-contact for clients with turnovers up to €10m+. As such, you will be working closely with Director/Financial Controller/Senior Executive levels in managing the specific client requirements, including non-audit transactional work, due diligence, management accounts, providing financial guidance and advice on operational structure.
- Manage a portfolio of clients of variable sizes across different industries.
- Managing Accountancy Services to a bureau of clients which will include (but is not limited to):
- Review of monthly/quarterly management accounts
- Review of Unaudited Year-End Statutory Accounts
- Advising clients with systems of financial control
- Company Secretarial Advice and Compliance including Maintaining Company Registers & Minutes where required
- Help drive the firm’s accounting technology strategy to best serve our clients and project manage the roll out of new accounting solutions.
- Assist with managing the team’s financial performance e.g. agreeing and billing of fees; cash collections; monitoring recoverability of WIP etc.
- Participate in the coaching, mentoring and appraisal of staff
Ideal Candidate:
- ACA or ACCA
- Minimum of 5 years+ relevant PQE in practice with strong technical knowledge and financial/management accounts experience
- Proven management skills and behaviours
- A strong market/commercial awareness
- Working knowledge of accounting software packages such as Surf, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or similar with a high aptitude and interest for using new software
- Client-oriented with initiative, enthusiasm and problem-solving attitude
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with maximum discretion
