Our client, a growing and progressive accounting practice in South Dublin, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage a substantial portfolio of clients while overseeing a significant audit workload. The successful candidate will take ownership of several key client relationships, including managing multiple larger audits and overseeing a significant outsourced accounting engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, overseeing audits, statutory accounts, tax compliance, and advisory services.
- Lead several larger audit engagements and act as the key contact for a significant outsourced accounting client.
- Review and oversee approximately 30 monthly management accounts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare and review VAT, Corporation Tax and Income Tax returns while providing practical business and financial advice to clients.
Requirements:
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified.
- Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience within an Irish accounting practice.
- Strong audit and accounts preparation background.
- Extensive knowledge of Irish GAAP, FRS 102 and Irish tax compliance.
- Experience managing client portfolios and leading audit engagements.
- Exposure to outsourced finance/accounting services would be advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and client relationships.
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
