An established professional services firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing team. The firm is looking for a proactive team member with solid management accounting experience and strong technical capability. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with cloud-based and AI‑enabled accounting tools and will play a key role in enhancing the firm’s digital offering. Excellent organisational, communication, and time‑management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a range of accountancy services to a portfolio of clients, including:
    • Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
    • Payroll processing
    • Preparation of unaudited year‑end statutory accounts
    • Advising clients on financial control systems
    • Managing company secretarial compliance
  • Support clients through change management processes, helping them transition to best‑practice systems and technology for improved efficiency.
  • Develop proficiency across multiple accounting software platforms (e.g., BrightBooks, Receipt Bank, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and recommend suitable tools and integrations to clients.
  • Contribute to the firm’s accounting technology strategy and assist in project‑managing the rollout of new digital solutions.
  • Complete internal administrative tasks such as timesheets and invoicing as required.

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant or Accounting Technician
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ relevant post‑qualification experience, with strong management accounting and technology exposure
  • Working knowledge of cloud‑based accounting software
  • Ability to implement and utilise AI‑driven accounting tools and connected applications
  • Strong client‑facing skills with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
  • High level of discretion when handling confidential information
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and time‑management abilities

Salary & Benefits

  • 23 days annual leave (including Good Friday and Christmas Eve), with additional leave awarded for long service
