Our client is a medium-sized, client-focused practice with offices in South and North Dublin. The successful candidate will be based in South Dublin. The firm provides services in accounting & finance, taxation, debt resolution, consulting, and human resources, supporting businesses at every stage of their growth.
Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant (minimum 2 years PQE) to join the growing team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse book of clients across multiple industries, delivering high-quality accounting, audit, and advisory services. This role offers strong exposure to client-facing work, leadership responsibilities, and career progression within a dynamic practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review statutory accounts for SMEs, sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Manage audits from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with Irish GAAP/IFRS.
- Oversee tax compliance including corporation tax, VAT, payroll, and personal tax returns.
- Provide tailored business advisory services such as cash flow management, financial forecasting, and growth planning.
- Act as the main point of contact for a diverse client portfolio, building strong, long-term relationships.
- Supervise and review the work of junior accountants and trainees.
- Contribute to practice development initiatives and process improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
- ACA/ACCA qualified accountant (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in practice.
- Experience working with a diverse client portfolio across different sectors.
- Strong technical knowledge of Irish accounting and tax regulations.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Commercial awareness and ability to advise clients strategically.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar).
