Our client, a leading Irish provider of accountancy and advisory services is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join their expanding Cork team within a Top 20 Practice. This position offers excellent career progression and the chance to work with a broad portfolio of clients across multiple industries. The successful Qualified Accountant will become part of a collaborative, high-performing team committed to professional excellence.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete client files and financial statements from start to finish to a high professional standard, ensuring delivery within budget and deadlines.
- Manage accounts preparation and income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, and company directors.
- Draft financial reports and present engagement results to the engagement manager.
- Identify and resolve areas of non-compliance with accounting standards.
- Contribute to statutory accounting, compliance, and related services across a diverse client base.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience—ideal for a Recently Qualified Accountant seeking growth.
- Background in practice with a desire to broaden skills and take on new challenges.
- Small–medium practice experience is essential.
- Experience working with audit-exempt clients.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to act as an effective advisor to clients.
- Proven experience preparing Irish income tax and related returns.
Salary & Benefits:
