Our client, a highly respected and progressive accountancy practice, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional who wants to move beyond traditional accounting and play a key role in driving digital transformation for clients through cloud-based and AI-powered solutions.
Working closely with a diverse portfolio of businesses, you’ll provide strategic financial support, streamline processes, and help clients leverage technology to improve efficiency, profitability, and growth.
Responsibilities
As Management Accounts Manager, you will take ownership of a varied client portfolio, providing a high-quality service while acting as a trusted advisor to business owners and management teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients and delivering management accounts, year-end accounts, payroll services, and general accounting support.
- Building strong client relationships and providing practical financial advice to support business performance and growth.
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies.
- Implementing and supporting cloud-based accounting systems and AI-enabled solutions.
- Advising clients on the most suitable accounting software and integrated technology platforms for their business needs.
- Leading accounting technology projects, including system implementations, process improvements, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Managing company secretarial compliance requirements and supporting general practice administration, including billing and timesheet management.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting expertise with a passion for innovation and client service.
You will have:
- A professional accounting qualification or Accounting Technician qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience within practice or management accounting.
- Strong experience working with accounting software and cloud-based accounting platforms.
- Exposure to implementing or supporting technology-driven accounting solutions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset and a genuine interest in helping clients improve how they operate.
