Our client, a well-respected accountancy practice based in Westmeath, is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Senior to join their growing team. The Payroll Senior will play a key role in delivering outsourced payroll services to clients across a wide range of industry sectors, each with their own diverse payroll requirements. This is a fully on‑site role, you’ll be part of a collaborative team supporting accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll operations.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Liaise with clients to gather payroll data, resolve queries, and maintain a professional, efficient service.
- Handle starters, leavers, statutory deductions, pensions, BIK calculations, and tax documentation.
- Prepare PAYE, PRSI, EFT files, maintain accurate records, and review payroll reports prior to client distribution.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years in a fast‑paced Irish payroll environment.
- IPASS or similar payroll certification desirable but not essential.
- Strong MS Excel skills and experience with payroll software such as Quantum or similar.
- High accuracy, strong problem‑solving ability, and excellent organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Please note, this role is fully on-site 5 days per week. The successful candidate will be required to travel to the Athlone office Monday to Friday 9am – 5:30pm.
