A leading Irish construction firm is looking for a Management Accountant to play a key financial role, supporting senior leadership in driving robust reporting, compliance, and cost-control across the business. The role involves preparing management accounts, maintaining and improving accounting systems, and delivering detailed financial analysis within a fast-growing, high-value construction environment. This is a hands-on position where you’ll also support audit processes, payroll, and specialist construction finance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce monthly management accounts and detailed financial reports, collaborating with senior management to interpret financial data.
- Maintain and develop accounting systems, financial controls, and internal policies to support organisational efficiency.
- Conduct detailed cost and revenue analysis and ensure full compliance with statutory requirements including VAT, RCT, and premium taxes.
- Support the annual audit process, assist with payroll accuracy, and develop specialist expertise in construction finance.
Requirements
- Minimum professional accountancy experience, ideally within the construction industry.
- Recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel and experience with accounting software.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication abilities, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
