GPC Finance are delighted to partner with a mid-tier firm of accountants and business advisors. Our client is looking for an experience Audit Senior to join their team. Our client has a broad range of clients across a number of different sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of audit assignments across various sectors.
- Plan audit assignments adequately and brief staff on assignment-specific risks.
- Draft high-quality financial statements and audit reports with practical recommendations to address risk issues and control weaknesses.
- Manage multiple audit assignments concurrently, optimizing time and resources.
- Build effective working relationships with client staff in different disciplines to facilitate the audit process.
- Keep the Partner briefed on significant issues related to the work being undertaken.
- Deliver audit assignments to a high standard, adhering to regulations and allotted timescales.
- Ensure compliance with the firm’s policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing on-the-job training and participating in Performance Management initiatives.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Understanding of risk, Irish GAAP, FRS102, and CA2014, and awareness of current issues.
- Knowledge of audit strategies, Terms of Engagement, FRS102, Irish and UK GAAP, and CA2014.
- Ability to work with diverse clients across multiple sectors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Commercial acumen and staying up to date with developments in the sector.
