My client, a well-established and highly regarded accountancy and audit practice based in Meath, is seeking to recruit an experienced Audit Assistant Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing audit engagements, developing client relationships, and supporting the continued growth of the audit function. The successful Audit Assistant Manager will be a qualified accountant with strong practice experience who is looking to take the next step in their career within a progressive and ambitious firm.
Responsibilities:
- Manage audit assignments across a diverse portfolio of clients operating in various sectors.
- Plan, coordinate and oversee audit engagements, ensuring deadlines and budgets are achieved.
- Lead client audit planning and completion meetings while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Review financial statements and audit working papers to ensure a high standard of technical compliance.
- Manage audit files from planning through to completion and final sign-off.
- Supervise, mentor and support Audit Seniors, trainees and junior team members.
- Assist Partners and Directors with business development and advisory projects where required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting, auditing and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualified accountant.
- Minimum 4-6 years’ audit experience gained within practice.
- Previous experience supervising or managing audit engagements and junior staff.
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing and financial reporting standards.
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build client relationships.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Ambitious, proactive and keen to develop a long-term career within practice.
Salary/ Benefits
- Salary €65,000 – €80,000 DOE.
