Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients across a range of industries, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of management accounts, financial statements, and tax filings.
- Deliver high-quality accounting, compliance, and advisory services in line with statutory requirements and firm standards.
- Prepare income tax returns for individuals, directors, and sole traders, and assist with corporation tax compliance as required.
- Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries, provide financial insights, and build strong professional relationships.
- Review work prepared by junior team members, providing feedback, coaching, and technical support.
- Assist in developing and improving internal processes to ensure efficiency and consistency in service delivery.
- Stay current on accounting and regulatory developments to ensure compliance and best practice.
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 1year post-qualification experience within a professional practice environment.
- Solid technical grounding in Irish GAAP and familiarity with FRS 102.
- Strong working knowledge of Irish tax compliance for both individuals and companies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and explain complex financial information clearly.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Surf Accounts, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Office applications.
- A collaborative team player with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Salary & Benefit
- Salary: €55,000 – €65,000
