Our client is seeking an experienced Outsourced Solutions Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality bookkeeping and outsourced finance services to a diverse portfolio of clients. This is a client-facing position offering the opportunity to lead a team, drive process improvements, and ensure exceptional service delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client relationships while supporting the continued growth of the outsourced solutions function.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring bookkeeping and outsourced finance services are delivered accurately, efficiently, and within agreed deadlines.
- Oversee month-end processes, including reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments, trial balances, and management reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and review the work of the bookkeeping team, providing training, support, and ongoing performance feedback.
- Build strong client relationships, resolve queries, improve processes, and collaborate with accounts, payroll, and tax teams to ensure a seamless service offering.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or outsourced accounting services, ideally within an accountancy practice or professional services environment.
- Proven experience managing client portfolios and reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Strong technical knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, month-end processes, and management accounts preparation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and cloud-based bookkeeping platforms, with strong Excel skills.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and client management skills.
- Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
Salary & Benefits:
