Audit Senior

Our client is a leading professional services firm with a strong presence across Ireland and an extensive international network. Due to continued growth within its Audit & Assurance division, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Audit Senior to join a high-performing team.

Working closely with experienced Partners, Directors, and Managers, you will gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients across a broad range of industries. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit and advisory services while helping to develop junior team members and maintain strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team delivering high-quality audit assignments across a varied client portfolio.
• Assist in maintaining audit quality standards and ensuring a consistent approach across engagements.
• Manage audit assignments and contribute to the effective utilisation of departmental resources.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact throughout engagements.
• Contribute to achieving departmental and firm-wide objectives, including chargeable hours, billing, and client service targets.
• Mentor and support junior staff through coaching, training, and ongoing development.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across Audit, Financial Advisory, Tax, and other specialist teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the audit function.
• Assist management with project planning, execution, and delivery to deadlines.

Candidate Profile

• ACA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Experience gained within a medium to large accountancy practice environment.
• Current experience operating at Audit Senior level.
• Strong technical audit and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience supervising audit assignments and managing client relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Excellent organisational, planning, and time-management skills.
• The ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
• Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong IT and systems proficiency.
