My client, a long-established and respected accountancy practice based in North Dublin, is currently seeking to hire a Senior Practice Accountant to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide variety of clients and industries while working closely with senior management on both compliance and advisory assignments. The ideal candidate will have strong practice experience and be comfortable managing client relationships, overseeing assignments from start to finish, and providing commercial insight to business owners.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of sole traders, partnerships, and limited company clients.
- Prepare and review annual statutory financial statements.
- Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts for clients across various sectors.
- Deliver bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, and tax compliance services as required.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing proactive advice and support.
- Assist clients with budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and financial planning.
- Review work prepared by junior staff and provide ongoing mentoring and guidance.
- Support Partners with practice development initiatives and client projects.
- Ensure all assignments are completed efficiently and in line with relevant deadlines.
Requirements:
- ACA, ACCA, or qualified by experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within an Irish accountancy practice.
- Strong accounts preparation experience across a range of client entities.
- Solid working knowledge of Irish taxation including corporation tax, VAT, and personal tax.
- Experience managing client relationships and handling assignments independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial matters clearly to clients.
- Positive, client-focused approach with a willingness to contribute to team success.
