Senior Practice Accountant

My client, a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in South Dublin, is seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Practice Accountant. The successful candidate will work closely with Partners and clients, taking ownership of a varied portfolio while delivering a high standard of accounting, taxation, and business advisory services. The successful Senior Practice Accountant will be a qualified or qualified by experience accountant with strong practice experience who is looking to further develop their career within a reputable and client-focused firm.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of SME, owner-managed business and corporate clients across a variety of sectors.
• Prepare and review year-end financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Prepare management accounts and provide financial analysis to clients.
• Handle corporation tax, income tax and VAT compliance obligations.
• Liaise directly with clients, providing practical accounting, tax and business advice.
• Manage client deadlines and ensure all assignments are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Review the work of junior team members and assist with their training and development.
• Support Partners on advisory projects, business reviews and special assignments as required.
• Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities to add value through additional services.

Requirements:

• ACA, ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Minimum 4+ years’ experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
• Strong experience preparing year-end accounts for a broad client base.
• Good knowledge of Irish tax compliance including corporation tax, income tax and VAT.
• Experience managing client relationships and working directly with business owners.
• Excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work on your own initiative while managing multiple deadlines.
• A proactive attitude and ambition to develop a long-term career within practice.
