Our client, a long-established accountancy practice based in Galway, is currently looking to appoint a newly qualified Audit & Accounts Senior to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified ACA or ACCA professional seeking to further develop their practice experience within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The Audit & Accounts Senior will work across a diverse portfolio of audit, accounts, and tax assignments, gaining valuable exposure to SME and owner-managed businesses across a range of industries. The role provides an excellent platform for an Audit & Accounts Senior to strengthen their technical expertise, broaden their client experience, and progress their career within practice.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning, fieldwork, and completion of audit assignments for a varied portfolio of SME and corporate clients.
- Prepare statutory accounts, financial statements, and monthly management accounts for clients across a variety of sectors.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT, Corporation Tax, and Income Tax returns, ensuring all deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, handling queries professionally and working alongside senior team members to provide a high-quality service and effective advisory support.
Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or recently qualified, with at least one year of post-qualification experience within an accountancy practice.
- Experience working on audit assignments and preparing accounts, with a sound knowledge of accounting standards and auditing principles.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing assignments and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience using CaseWare or similar accounting software would be an advantage.
