Our client, a highly respected and long-established accountancy practice based in South Dublin, is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager / Senior Accountant to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a practice-trained qualified accountant who enjoys a varied workload across audit, accounts preparation, tax compliance, and client advisory work. The successful candidate will work closely with a diverse portfolio of SME clients and play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and compliance service.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients, acting as a key point of contact and providing ongoing accounting, compliance, and business support.
  • Lead and coordinate a number of audit assignments for larger clients, overseeing engagements from planning through to completion in line with professional standards.
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, statutory accounts, and financial reports, including providing outsourced accounting support to a key client.
  • Oversee a broad range of tax compliance work, including VAT, Corporation Tax, and Income Tax returns, while ensuring deadlines are met and maintaining high-quality client service.

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualified Chartered Accountant.
  • Minimum 4 years’ post-qualification experience within a practice setting.
  • Strong accounts preparation and client management experience.
  • Exposure to audit assignments and the ability to manage audits from planning through to completion.
  • Experience preparing management accounts and tax returns.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience working with SME and owner-managed business clients.
