Our client, a well-established accountancy practice based in South Dublin, is seeking an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior to join their growing team. As an Accounts & Audit Senior, you will work with a varied client portfolio, delivering audit, accounting, tax, and advisory services while benefiting from strong career progression and ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of SME and corporate clients, leading audit assignments while preparing and reviewing management accounts, statutory financial statements, and tax returns in line with professional and regulatory standards.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering high-quality accounting, audit, and advisory services, providing practical financial guidance, and ensuring exceptional client service at every stage.
- Prepare and review personal and corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with Irish tax legislation while identifying opportunities to deliver value-added advice to clients.
- Mentor and support junior team members through coaching, technical guidance, and work reviews, while contributing to the continuous improvement of internal processes and the overall success of the Accounts & Audit Senior team.
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualified accountant.
- Minimum 1 year’s post-qualification experience within an accountancy practice.
- Previous experience in an Accounts & Audit Senior or similar practice-based role.
- Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP, FRS 102, and Irish tax compliance.
- Audit experience within a professional practice environment.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and team leadership skills.
- Experience with Surf Accounts, Sage, or similar accounting software is advantageous.
