Our client, a respected and long-established accountancy practice located in Athlone, is looking to appoint an experienced Audit Manager to join their growing team. The successful Audit Manager will work with a diverse portfolio of SME and corporate clients across a variety of industries, gaining exposure to challenging audit engagements while benefiting from excellent career progression opportunities. Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver audit assignments for a broad portfolio of SME and corporate clients.
- Plan, coordinate, and complete audit engagements in line with relevant professional and regulatory standards.
- Lead, mentor, and support junior team members, ensuring high-quality work is delivered throughout each audit.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships by providing professional guidance and responding to queries in a timely manner.
- Work closely with senior leadership to ensure the successful delivery of audit projects and identify opportunities for service improvement.
- As an Audit Manager, contribute to the ongoing development of the firm’s audit function and best practices.
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified Chartered Accountant.
- At least 3 years’ post-qualification experience gained within an accountancy practice.
- Proven ability to manage multiple audit assignments while meeting deadlines.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with experience mentoring junior staff.
- Excellent technical knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting principles.
- Outstanding organisational, communication, and client relationship management skills.
- Experience using CaseWare or similar audit software would be an advantage.
- Previous experience working as an Audit Manager or in a senior audit leadership role is highly desirable.
