Our client, a tier one construction main contractor based in South Dublin are seeking to recruit a Finance Operations Manager to support the wider Finance Team by overseeing payroll, VAT compliance, expenses, and financial reporting processes. The role requires strong experience in a similar position, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop direct reports, ensuring strong performance and effective workflow management.
- Oversee preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns and statutory filings across multiple jurisdictions, including coordination with international consultants.
- Manage payroll operations, including full ownership of Ireland Senior payroll, payroll reporting, compliance, and liaison with HR and external providers.
- Maintain financial controls through accurate general ledger reconciliations, staff cost reporting, and oversight of the company expenses process.
- Support audits, regulatory reporting (including Gender Pay Gap), and provide financial data to internal departments as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar finance operations or payroll-focused role.
- Strong knowledge of Irish and UK VAT regulations.
- Understanding of payroll legislation for employees and contractors.
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with payroll systems.
- High numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
