Our client is a well‑established, three‑partner accounting practice based in Ashbourne, recognised for delivering high‑quality accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio. They are a professional, friendly, and growth‑oriented team — and as the practice continues to expand, they are now seeking a motivated Accounts & Compliance Assistant to join their busy and supportive environment.

This role is being advertised as on a 4 day working (every Friday off) with a view to becoming 5 days. 3 days on site.

Responsibilities

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate, high‑quality client accounting and compliance services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and reviewing financial information for client accounts
  • Supporting year‑end processes, outsourced accounting tasks, and compliance documentation
  • Managing CRAs, KYC records, and other regulatory requirements
  • Handling administrative duties such as loan documentation, tax letters, and client correspondence

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is eager to develop their career within a respected and growing practice.

Requirements

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with solid bookkeeping knowledge
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office
  • Experience within an accounting practice preferred; familiarity with year‑end processes is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and professional standards
