Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients across a range of industries, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of management accounts, financial statements, and tax filings.
  • Deliver high-quality accounting, compliance, and advisory services in line with statutory requirements and firm standards.
  • Prepare income tax returns for individuals, directors, and sole traders, and assist with corporation tax compliance as required.
  • Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries, provide financial insights, and build strong professional relationships.
  • Review work prepared by junior team members, providing feedback, coaching, and technical support.
  • Assist in developing and improving internal processes to ensure efficiency and consistency in service delivery.
  • Stay current on accounting and regulatory developments to ensure compliance and best practice.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 1year post-qualification experience within a professional practice environment.
  • Solid technical grounding in Irish GAAP and familiarity with FRS 102.
  • Strong working knowledge of Irish tax compliance for both individuals and companies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and explain complex financial information clearly.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Surf Accounts, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A collaborative team player with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Salary & Benefit
