An established and growing organisation is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to take ownership of a broad range of financial, operational, and administrative functions. This is a key position within the business, central to ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, commercially focused, and possess strong analytical and communication skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and the general ledger.
- Manage the month-end close process and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
- Prepare annual financial statements for audit and coordinate with external auditors.
- Implement cost control and overhead reduction measures.
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members to support their professional growth.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 post-qualification experience in a similar role.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and proficiency with financial systems.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to influence at all levels.
- Experience within the agri, manufacturing, or related sectors is advantageous.
