Our client, a well-established and reputable accounting practice based in Dublin, is seeking an experienced Accounts Technician to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong practice experience who enjoys the technical side of accounting and thrives in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of client accounts, assisting with compliance tasks, and contributing to the overall success of the team.
The Role
- Prepare accounts to trial balance for a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors
- Perform general bookkeeping duties and maintain accurate financial records
- Support senior accountants and partners on compliance and reporting matters
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail across all financial documentation
- Liaise professionally with clients, responding to queries both verbally and in writing
- Assist with ad hoc tasks to support smooth team operations
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an accountancy practice
- Strong experience preparing accounts to trial balance
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Comfortable working as part of a collaborative team in a support-focused role
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks is advantageous
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive salary: €40,000 – €45,000, depending on experience **
- Part Time / Full time working hours available
