My Client is a 2 Partner medium size firm who are seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their team in Dublin. The Audit Senior will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality audit services to clients while maintaining strong relationships and adhering to professional standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring all deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Conduct risk assessments, develop audit plans, and identify key audit areas
- Perform substantive testing, analytical procedures, and other audit procedures to obtain sufficient audit evidence
- Supervise and mentor junior audit team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Review workpapers prepared by audit staff, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with auditing standards.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness to client needs.
- Stay current on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends
- Contribute to the development of audit methodologies and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) with at least 3-5 years of experience
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks, and relevant regulations (IFRS, GAAP, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and prioritise tasks effectively
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications.
