Audit Senior

GFC Finance is in partnership with a globally recognised professional services firm based in Dublin. They are accredited with a prestigious client base, to appoint an Audit Senior to their increasingly flexible and organically growing audit team. With ambitious plans for further expansion in Ireland, our client is looking for a successful and driven Audit Senior. 

There will also be further advancement opportunities for the successful candidate to advance in to the management team.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering high-quality audits and providing advice to clients within deadlines and with limited supervision.
• Contributing to the achievement of Audit department goals, including effective planning and execution of assignments.
• Leading multiple audit assignments simultaneously, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
• Leading, supervising, and mentoring junior staff members.
• Reporting audit findings and raising any issues that may impact risk to the Audit Manager/Partner.
• Handling escalated client issues in a timely manner.
• Utilizing audit and accounting applications for client assignments.
• Collaborating with other departments, such as taxation, company secretarial, and consultancy, to deliver audit and advisory services.
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional value-added services to clients.

Requirements:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA accountant.
• Prior experience within an Audit team in a practice setting.
• Previous financial services audit experience is desirable.
• Experience with CaseWare is an advantage.
• Strong technical knowledge.
• Experience in supervising junior staff members on audit assignments.
• Client-focused with strong commercial expertise.
• Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
• Team player with strong communication and leadership potential.
